TERMS & CONDITIONS
Booking and purchase terms · Updated 21 October 2026
About these terms
These terms cover personal training, group classes and purchases at GymSpace. Please read them before booking or paying. An enquiry alone does not create a booking. Prices and applicable conditions are shown before you commit.
GymSpace and contact details
Sam Wallbank and Joe Wallbank operate the partnership trading as GymSpace Ormskirk (GymSpace), at GymSpace, Unit 2, County Road, Ormskirk, Lancashire, L39 3LY. Email booking@gymspace.uk or call 07961 907787.
Bookings and payment
A class booking is confirmed when Gymcatch confirms your reservation. Personal training is booked when our team confirms its date, time, service and price with you. Personal training lasts 60 minutes; group classes last 45 minutes. Packs are paid for in advance. There is no automatic renewal or recurring subscription under these terms.
Prices and session packs
Personal training: £40 for one session, £190 for five sessions (£38 each), or £360 for ten sessions (£36 each). Group classes: £8 for one class, £35 for five classes (£7 each), or £60 for ten classes (£6 each). Class credits can be used across Zone, HIIT and Circuit, subject to availability.
Purchasing a pack does not reserve a particular time or coach. Book each class separately through Gymcatch; arrange PT sessions with the team. Packs are for the named customer; ask us before transferring a credit. Five-class packs expire six weeks from the date and time of purchase; ten-class packs expire twelve weeks from purchase. All classes must take place before expiry. Returned class credits retain the original pack expiry date. These class-pack expiry periods do not apply to PT packs. Price or term changes apply to future purchases and do not retrospectively reduce rights attached to existing purchases.
Class cancellations: more than 12 hours’ notice
Cancel a class through Gymcatch more than 12 hours before its scheduled start to receive class credit, not a cash refund. Returned pack credits keep their original expiry date. Single-class cancellation credits are valid for six weeks. Pay-on-the-door bookings cancelled more than 12 hours before the start incur no charge. Contact our team if an eligible credit is not returned. Your statutory rights and the fairness safeguards below remain unaffected. Personal training arrangements are explained separately below.
For example, cancel a 6:15 pm class before 6:15 am that day, or a 9:15 am class before 9:15 pm the evening before. Exactly 12 hours before the start falls within the late-cancellation period. Times are local UK time.
Late cancellations and missed classes
Cancellations made 12 hours or less before the start, and missed classes, receive no credit. For pay-on-the-door bookings, the £8 class fee remains payable before your next booking. We will not deduct a credit and charge another fee for the same missed class. The fairness safeguards below always apply.
Personal training cancellations and rearrangements
With more than 24 hours’ notice, you can rearrange your PT session without a cancellation charge. Your prepaid session remains available and we’ll agree another appointment, subject to availability. You do not have to use it in the same week. If you paid for a single session, you may choose a refund instead.
With 24 hours’ notice or less, or if you miss the session, it will normally be charged or deducted from your pack, subject to the fairness safeguards below. If you contact us before the session starts, we may offer one replacement appointment in the same Monday–Sunday week at no additional session fee, if your coach has a suitable slot available. This is a goodwill option, not a guaranteed replacement.
If no suitable slot is available that week, the late-cancellation rule still applies; this goodwill option does not carry over to a later week. A missed session without notice does not qualify. If you cancel a replacement with more than 24 hours’ notice, the usual timely-cancellation rule applies. A late cancellation of the replacement does not qualify for another goodwill move. We never charge twice for the same cancelled session.
We consider illness and emergencies individually. Any charge is subject to the “Fairness, illness and emergencies” section below, including reductions where we refill the appointment or avoid costs.
How to give notice
For classes, cancel through your Gymcatch account and check the cancellation confirmation. If you cannot access it, email booking@gymspace.uk or call 07961 907787. For PT, contact the team directly. Include your name and session date and time. If a call is unanswered, send an email so your notice is recorded. Notice is measured when the cancellation is confirmed in Gymcatch or your message reaches us, not when we reply. Please do not rely on a social-media message to cancel a booking.
Fairness, illness and emergencies
Tell us promptly if illness or an emergency affects attendance; we will consider the circumstances individually. Do not attend if doing so would put you or others at risk. A cancellation charge will never exceed the price of the affected session or our reasonable net loss, whichever is lower. We will take reasonable steps to refill the space, account for costs saved and replacement bookings, and reduce or refund the charge where appropriate. For a pack, the maximum is the amount paid per session, not the higher single-session price.
If GymSpace changes or cancels a session
We will tell you as soon as reasonably possible. You may accept a suitable alternative, have the affected credit restored, or choose a refund for the cancelled session at the price paid, including the relevant pack rate. You do not have to accept a replacement. If we cannot provide a specifically agreed coach, we will discuss an alternative with you. Material changes to a confirmed booking will not be imposed without giving you the choice to cancel the affected session without charge.
Unused packs and refunds
If you cannot continue, contact us. You may request a refund of unused credits at the original per-session pack rate, less any fair cancellation charge for a booking already made. Completed sessions will not be retrospectively repriced at the single-session rate. Refunds will be made using the original payment method unless you agree otherwise, within 14 days of agreement or any shorter period required by law.
Your statutory cancellation rights
For qualifying service contracts made online, by phone or away from our premises, you normally have 14 days from the day after the contract is made to cancel without giving a reason. Tell us by email, telephone or any other clear statement. You may use: “I wish to cancel my purchase of [service or pack], agreed on [date]. My name is [name] and my contact details are [details].” You do not have to use this wording.
If you expressly ask us to begin a service during an applicable cancellation period and then cancel, you may have to pay a proportionate amount for the service provided. The right ends after full performance only where the legally required request and acknowledgement have been obtained. Where cancellation rights apply, we will provide the required information and cancellation form before agreement and refund you within 14 days of being told, subject to lawful deductions.
The statutory cooling-off right has an exception for certain leisure services booked for a specific date or period. We will explain any applicable exception before you agree; we will not assume every training pack is exempt. Your rights when services are faulty or not supplied with reasonable care and skill are unaffected.
Arriving and training safely
Please arrive ready to start. If you arrive late, your session may still end at the original time. A coach may ask you to join a later class if missing the warm-up or briefing would be unsafe. Tell us about relevant injuries, health changes or limitations through our screening process, follow coaching instructions and stop if you feel unwell. We may pause an activity for a genuine safety concern and discuss suitable next steps.
Treat members, coaches and equipment respectfully. Serious unsafe or abusive behaviour may result in a session being stopped. Any decision about future bookings or unused payments will be proportionate and assessed fairly. Training outcomes vary; member stories do not guarantee particular results.
Clothing and accessories
The shop is a catalogue for purchases at the studio, with no online checkout or stock reservation. Confirm sizes, colours, prices and availability with the team. For in-studio purchases, any additional change-of-mind arrangement will be explained before payment. Your statutory rights for faulty or misdescribed goods are unaffected.
Privacy, photographs and website content
See our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for information about personal data and optional maps. Buying a session does not give permission to use your image for marketing; we ask separately. GymSpace photographs, branding and website content must not be reused without permission unless the law permits it. External sites have their own terms and privacy information.
Your rights, complaints and changes to these terms
Contact booking@gymspace.uk with a concern and the outcome you would like. We aim to acknowledge complaints within five working days and provide a response within 14 days, or explain when you can expect one.
Nothing here excludes statutory consumer rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded, including death or personal injury caused by negligence. Updated terms apply to future purchases; they do not retrospectively reduce rights attached to existing bookings or packs.
Before launch: have the completed terms checked against the actual booking and payment process, including any statutory cancellation information supplied to customers.
